Muay Thai Foundations Class
This is an introductory level class geared towards students with little to no experience in Muay Thai. The main focus of this class is to build familiarity with the basic techniques and building blocks of the art of Muay Thai. At Pentagon MMA, we firmly believe that a strong foundation is the key to success, in addition to being a major factor in preventing injuries. The fundamentals class is structured to allow students to progress at their own pace, without the stress of feeling overwhelmed by more advanced techniques and students. All new students with little to no Muay Thai experience are required to take at least twelve Foundations classes before participating in more advanced classes. This class requires boxing gloves, hand wraps, and shin guards.
Muay Thai All Levels Class
After completion of at least twelve Foundations classes, students may join the All Levels class. This class will build on techniques learned in the Foundations class and allow students the opportunity to perfect these techniques. This class requires boxing gloves, hand wraps, and shin guards.
Muay Thai Clinch, Knees, and Elbows
This is an intermediate to advanced level class focusing on clinch drills and the use of knees and elbows in Muay Thai. This class requires boxing gloves, hand wraps, and shin guards.
Muay Thai/MMA ADVanced Sparring (Elite Membership)
This is an advanced sparring class available only to students who are Elite Members and have been formally invited to the Fight Team by our Head Instructor. Under the supervision of an instructor, students spar at a high intensity and are required to wear mouthguards and groin protectors (for our male students) at all times. The Pentagon MMA Fight Team also trains during these sparring sessions, and sparring will vary from Muay Thai to MMA to Jiu Jitsu depending on what training is needed for upcoming competitions.
Muay Thai Foundation Sparring (Elite membership)
This is a beginner level Muay Thai sparring class designed to introduce more advanced Muay Thai students to live sparring. This is a great opportunity to test foundational skills in a slower-paced live sparring situation. This class is available to Elite Members and all students must wear mouthguards and groin protectors (for male students), in addition to the regular Muay Thai gear.
Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu All Levels
This Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu class covers foundational concepts and drills, incorporating transitions and combinations as well as more advanced movements and techniques. A Gi is required for this class.
No Gi Grappling
This is a No Gi grappling class available to all students who are enrolled in the Grappling/Brazilian Jiu Jitsu program.
This class is included in MT, Grappling, and Combo memberships. It is open to all students who are interested in competing in either MMA, BJJ, or stand-up styles. Both current and aspiring fighters are welcome.
women's fitness kickboxing
This is a high intensity, one-hour, fat-blasting, cardio-pumping workout using free-standing heavy bags. Students can move through the drills at their own pace, but we do encourage everyone to push themselves to get stronger and tougher, both physically and mentally. You will need boxing gloves and hand wraps for this class.
Women’s Fitness Kickboxing: Intro Session
This is a 30-minute basic techniques class geared towards new or prospective students that have zero Kickboxing experience. Spaces are very limited, so please be sure to reserve ahead of time.
Gurkha Warrior boot camp
This class is geared towards individuals of any fitness level looking to either supplement their current Martial Arts training or find an exciting, different training regimen. Each class brings a fun and dynamic workout, including both conventional and unconventional exercises, utilizing different types of equipment such as dumbbells, kettlebells, tires, TRX, ropes, and more. Gurkha Warrior Boot Camp allows everyone to achieve their full potential in a friendly, welcoming class setting.
Family Zumba every Sunday at 10am at Pentagon MMA is a blast, complete with musical instruments, props, and dance moves that the whole family can enjoy! All ages welcome, even the littlest littles. Kids are free and adults are only $5 each. Current students are free.
