Coach Kelsi is originally from Gainesville, Florida and came to the Fort Belvoir, VA area serving in the United States Army. She is a Combatives Instructor for the Army, where she trains and certifies soldiers in hand-to-hand combat outside of her primary job. Coach Kelsi’s Martial Arts training began with Karate at the age of 8-years-old, which lead her to qualify and compete in the Junior Olympics at the age of 10 in Karate, where she placed 3rd for Kumite (sparring). Coach Kelsi has trained in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and Muay Thai for 3 years and is a member of the Pentagon MMA fight team. She competes and represents Pentagon MMA in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu tournaments, and is training to make her Muay Thai and Mixed Martial Arts debut. Coach Kelsi has a sincere passion for all Martial Arts and is constantly looking to learn and expand her knowledge so she can push her students to their highest potential.
